THE STORY OF THIS PIECE
Rare Mint Milk Glass Sea Glass – Necklace ✨
Delicate, dreamy, and hard to find—this sea glass necklace features an authentic mint green milk glass, a rare treasure from mid-century glassmaking history.
This piece has been naturally tumbled by the ocean before being transformed into a one-of-a-kind wire-wrapped necklace. The necklace features a stainless steel serpentine chain (18 inches) with a lobster clasp.
.
Milk glass—also called opal glass—was first created by adding minerals like tin or bone ash to make the glass opaque or softly translucent. This mint-colored variety likely dates back to the 1950s–60s, a time when pastels were in vogue and used in decorative tableware and cosmetics jars.
Sourced with care, shaped by the sea, and crafted by hand—this is a unique gift for collectors, beach lovers, or anyone who appreciates timeless vintage elegance.
📏 Pendant approx. 20 mm x 45 mm.

According to Beachcombing Magazine;
‘Milk glass, also known as opal glass, is made by adding tin, zinc oxide, fluorides, phosphates, arsenic, antimony, or calcium in the form of bone ash (which creates a translucent opaline glass). Milk glass typically comes in white, blue, *mint green, pink, black, yellow, and brown.
